UPDATED WITH MAP: Weight Restrictions on Hwy 33 Bridge over Big Blue River Oct. 1, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.) — The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has implemented weight restrictions on the Hwy 33 Bridge, S033 01026, over the Big Blue River on the west side of Crete following a recent inspection. The bridge is restricted to 17 tons for single-unit trucks, 25 tons for semi-trucks, and 30 tons for multi-trailer trucks. Vehicles exceeding the posted weight limits need to use an alternate route. Weight limit signs were erected Sept. 17, 2026.
