Wildwood Pool and Park is located in the southeast portion of the city. The public swimming pool includes men’s and women’s restrooms and lockers, zero entry, two slides, swimming lanes, and two diving boards. The splash area was new in 2022. Pool season passes, swimming lessons, youth swim team, and pool parties are available; see below for registration dates and more information.
The park area includes two tennis courts, a playground, picnic area, green space, parking, and public restrooms. Tennis courts include pickleball lines.

2024 Pool Season Information
- RipTide Swim Team registration opens April 2
- Swimming Lessons are offered for Levels 1-6 (ages 4 and up) and Infant and Toddler (ages 6 weeks to 4 years)
- registrations open April 29 for Levels 1-6 and June 3 for Infant and Toddler
- Pool Opening Day, Saturday, May 25 - Memorial Day weekend

- RipTide Swim Meet - June 15
- Independence Day, Thursday, July 4 - open swim hours may be subject to change

- Pooch Pool Party from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Cost is $2.00 per dog
- Dogs must be non-aggressive and leashed upon arrival
- Toys and inflatables are allowed
- Dog owners are welcome to swim as well

Swim Suit Policy: All patrons who want to swim MUST wear a commercially purchased swim suit. NO street clothes are allowed in the pool, including, but not limited to: jeans, gym shorts, cotton t-shirts, leggings/joggers. ALL infants must wear a swim-approved diaper. Weather Policies:

Pool Parties:
Private pool parties are held on Fridays and Saturdays, 7:00-9:00 p.m., and Sundays, 5:00-7:00 p.m. during the season. Cost is $250 per party amd includes a nonārefundable $50 deposit. Applications are available on RecDesk, at City Hall, or the pool during open hours. A completed application and non-refundable deposit is required for reservation. Please submit the application and deposit at City Hall.
Water Aerobics:
Water Aerobics start date is June 10. Registration opens April 1. Cost is $40 for all classes. Registered participants age 55 and over will receive a pool season pass at no additional cost. Drop-in fee is $4 per class and includes daily pool admission.

- Infant and toddler lessons in July for ages 6 weeks - 4 years old;

Crete RipTide Swim Team offers kids ages 7-18 a chance to participate in a competitive swim league with Saturday meets in the Kansas-Nebraska Swim League. The head coach for 2024 is Kourtney Martin. A Parent Information Meeting will be held prior to the season on Wednesday, April 17 at 6 p.m. in the Crete Carrier Community Room at Crete Public Library.
- Registration opens April 2; Cost is $75
- Registration open to all on a first-come-first-serve basis. Limited spaces available.
- Members of the team are required to purchase their own swim suit and goggles.
- Practices are held at Wildwood Pool:
- Monday-Thursday; 7-8 p.m. for intermediate swimmers; 7:30-9 p.m. for advanced swimmers
- Friday morning practices as scheduled
- Season is from May 27 to June 29 with Saturday Meets
- The team also seeks parents who can make a commitment to volunteer at least 1 night per week throughout the season, and assist with at least 2 meets.
