City staff were honored for years of service for 2019.

Each year, City of Crete employees are presented awards for their years of loyal service to the citizens of Crete. 

This year five employees received service awards at an Employee Appreciation event on Thursday, Aug. 27. (Please note: This event is typically held earlier in the year, and recognizes employment anniversaries from the 2019 calendar year.)

Thank you to these employees for their dedication to the City of Crete. Employees recognized include:

25 Years:

• Steve Hensel, Chief of Police, Crete Police Department

20 Years:

• Aaron Steffensmeier, Parks Supervisor, Parks & Recreation Department

15 Years: 

• Mary Klahn, Administrative Assistant, Crete Police Department

5 Years:

• Lori Kubicek, Purchasing Clerk, Finance Department
• Audrey Arbuckle, Patrol Officer, Crete Police Department
